Accounts Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Analysis of accounting records
• Bank reconciliation
• Supplier reconciliation
• Supervise financial procedures in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ensure timely update of financial system.
• Monthly physical count and verification of stocks
• Assist in the drafting of management accounts and monthly reports with respect to all categories of transactions.
• Assess cash requirements and monitor cash flow.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Audit accounting data to substantiate financial transactions.
• Executing approved cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, and authorizing checks and wire transfers.
• Depreciation of Company assets.
• Management of the fixed asset register.
• Maintain financial security by ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Meets accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews, resolving problems, and identifying system improvements.
• Analyze accounting data and provide reports.
• Ensure required documentation is in place for every completed transaction.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Train and supervise subordinates.
• Undertake any other duties consistent with this position role. 

Requirements:

• ACCA Level II Qualified or its equivalent
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a finance or accounts department.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft office applications
• Working proficiency in Quickbooks
• Ability to quickly problem-solve undesirable matters/situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Good analytical skills
• Attention to detail.
• Proven experience in relevant computerized accounting applications
• Great professional work ethics
