Human Resources Assistant
Location: Support, East Bank Demerara.
Responsibilities:
Assist with all administrative tasks within the department.
Update all HR trackers including recruitment, leave, new start exit, promotion, disciplinary action, Staff GTM sickness claims and probation tracker.
Provides administrative support and guidance to employees..
Record minutes from weekly Management meetings.
Filing of documents and correspondence and updating employee’s personal files.
Completing NIS and GTM sickness benefit and application claim forms for employees.
Update supervisor on upcoming calendar events activities.
Create files with all necessary documents for new on boarding staff.
Type letters and memos.
Update Techlify HR software with employee’s personal information.
Assisting in training sessions regarding changes in company policies and procedures.
Prepare GTM health and life monthly deduction sheet.
Update staff attendance daily and weekly report and update supervisor on lateness and absenteeism status by sending report daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Assist in the recruitment process as instructed by supervisor.
Assist in organizing and planning staff events and activities.
Any other duties that maybe assigned.
Comply with the Quality Health and Safety policies and Procedure.
Maintain 100% accurate information on staff information sheet and HR Software.
Create reports updating supervisor on loss time and absenteeism on a timely manner.
Maintain 100% professionalism and confidentiality at all times when executing your duties.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
A minimum of three years’ experience as an administrative assistant working in a human resource department in a large or medium size company.
Includes walking, standing, climbing, setting, some bending and viewing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
Ability to prioritize, multitask and work well under pressure.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software.
Proficiency with the ability to quickly learn the organization HRIS.
