Responsibilities:

•     Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all company facilities and infrastructure.

•     Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities, utilities, and security systems are operating effectively.

•     Plan and supervise repairs, renovations, and civil works projects.

•     Manage the allocation, maintenance, and inspection of company housing and staff accommodations.

•     Ensure all company facilities comply with safety, sanitation, and environmental standards.

•     Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize operational disruptions.

•     Supervise the facilities and construction team, providing leadership, training, and performance oversight.

•     Manage facilities budgets, materials, inventory, and procurement to ensure cost-effective operations.

•     Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage projects using company systems.

•     Support operational activities and oversee building projects as required by the business.

Requirements:

•     Civil Engineering qualification (valid for professional use in Guyana).

•     Notion or project-management software experience (on-the-job training if needed).

•     Vendor management and familiarity with EPA / occupational-safety and building regulations.

•     Background in construction, logistics or mining environments.

•     Building/construction knowledge - Non-Negotiable.

•     Proven, hands-on capability across building, repairs, structures and access works.

•     Experience managing facilities or civil works and a labour/construction team across multiple sites.

•     Budget, materials and inventory control; cost-conscious and resourceful, including reusing materials.

•     Committed and ethical, with a strong, flexible work ethic.

•     Willing and able to live on-site at Safa Point and to work Monday to Saturday, primarily in the field.
